Mama becomes spider chin and leaps across the cage to come at me. She really doesn't want anyone messing with her babies.

Here any more info on the weight and how the babies are doing? Is Fluffy still nasty to you when you go near the babies? I can still remember their little squeaks.

I will post some pics this weekend. During the week it's harder for me to get things done! The babies are over 160 grams now. And yes, Fluffy is still in Momma Bear mode!

She probably will be for a looooooooooooooong time, you would be as well if you went through what she has been.....and what I mean by that is getting bounced around from 1 person to another while having 2 tiny babies to care for.

That's not fair Jen. I gave them into Tanya's care because I thought that would be I their best interest. I would have kept them until weaned but I wasn't sure how to care for them if Fluffy decided not to anymore. When she was with me she wasn't the friendly of the two.

I don't think Jen meant anything by her post. Just pointing out that Fluffy as been through many changes.

I'm sorry for jumping to defend my decision. Yes, Fluffy went through a lot during her pregnancy and shortly after the birth. I believe both her and Chilly were neglected by their owners. When they came to me she was already pregnant, but I was informed they were both male. On the day they were brought to me the lady who delivered them said they had neither food or water in their bowls when she picked them up.
Even when I had Fluffy she would jump towards me when I reached in to touch the babies. Just a protective mom.
Sorry for accusing you. I know we are all intetested in both the babies and Fluffys best care

My Beck (definitely male!) used to jump at you if you approached his cage. He's calmed down now, thankfully, but it can sure take them time to get over something.

Thankfully she is not a biter! Ha! She just likes to tell me off. She is really good when accepting a treat and doesn't give me too much grief when I take her out to clean the cage.
