If there is anyone in the GTA area willing to foster OR if you know someone that would do it, let me know.
I am looking to get some foster homes lined up.

I have lots of dust lots of food lots of hay. So if you find any my way keep me in mind. I will need more information about quarantining and special care so I will research some more tonight. I'm not sure I could foster too many I need to make sure I can give them all lots of attention.

Thanks for the offer Tara. I know you are new to chins so we'll wait a bit until you are ready to handle some of the challenges that come up with fosters.
You would just basically need to have a separate room for fosters as we don't want to ever worry about the chins you already have.

we have the space for separate rooms and I totally understand I dont want to run into this blind. I do deal well under pressure. I got to learn quick about rat pregnancies when I got my rats.

Tanya I think you are doing an awesome job with your rescue... I would love to help you out, but I am really bad at fostering and my family would kill me - We don't have an extra room for quarantine and I have gotten way too attached to anyone I have fosteredand in the past and they have ended up adopted; most of my pets are adoptees or rescues. I will ask anyone else I can think of that knows chins and would be better at fostering than me...

As of now I'm going to put the foster program on hold. I'm spending way too much time on it rather than getting word out about the chins up for adoption.
I will come back to fostering though. It is my hope that I'll have a lot of reliable people to make this rescue work.

Okay, I'm going to try this again as we have so many chins that are waiting to come into the rescue. So on the rescue site is an application. It is the first step in becoming a foster parent. It is not the only step. www.canadianchinchillarescue.webs.com I'll be starting to put ads on kijiji this weekend when I have more time to weed out the ones that aren't legit. If you know someone that wants to foster, just pass them to the web addy for the rescue and tell them they have to join this forum. All fosters must be a member here.
