Once there was a time when I could name 10 good hobby breeders in Ontario. Now sadly there aren't any I would recommend. There are 4 that have a bad reputation in the chin world and most othere are back yard breeders. I run a rescue and have many chins but I understand people sometimes want pets from a good breeder.
There are some breeders in other provinces that do ship. I have had 3 chins shipped from British Columbia from Alderbrook Chinchillas. There is also Chinchilla Park Place in BC as well.

It looks like watered down blood. As long as it works I am okay with it! Lol!

Neither, it is given as an eye drop. So I have one syringe in my freezer and one in my fridge and ge gets 1 drop 3 times a day.

Another vet appointment! Going to my regular vet to see if it's getting better. They wanted me to go back to Guelph but I said nope. All I need is for my vet to say if it's getting better or not. I have enough dog blood for another week and a half so hoping that will clear it up!

So Wilbur's eye ulcer is not healing so they are putting him on 3 new meds. One of the meds is a serum made from dog's blood. Ideally it would be better to use chinchilla blood but they have seen this work with rabbits and corneal ulcers that won't heal. So they had a dog at the clinic who they took the blood from and then they made the serum. I hope this works.

I will. This place is Campus Estates. I knew Guelph, the vet school, was reorganizing in August.

Poor Wilbur was back at the vets today. His eye ulcer is not getting better so we are off to a specialist in Guelph. His appointment is on Saturday. Hopefully they will have some sort of treatment that works. He is such a great chin.

Wilbur came to me on Christmas Even from the Toronto Animal Services. He is a beige male who is 8 years old. He has an eye ulcer right now and saw my vet this morning. Poor guy is amazing. He will be up for adoption as soon as his eye is healed. Just a sweet boy!!
Pics soon!! He's a little guy, only 512 grams.
