Wilbur came to me on Christmas Even from the Toronto Animal Services. He is a beige male who is 8 years old. He has an eye ulcer right now and saw my vet this morning. Poor guy is amazing. He will be up for adoption as soon as his eye is healed. Just a sweet boy!!
Pics soon!! He's a little guy, only 512 grams.

Poor Wilbur was back at the vets today. His eye ulcer is not getting better so we are off to a specialist in Guelph. His appointment is on Saturday. Hopefully they will have some sort of treatment that works. He is such a great chin.

Found out that the vet school closed their exotic clinic and the place I am going to is supposed to be excellent. Will give you my review on them after Saturday.

No way! I rely on the Guelph clinic. Let me know about the Exotic specialist you go to?

I will. This place is Campus Estates. I knew Guelph, the vet school, was reorganizing in August.

Wow, that's to bad about Guelph, they took excellent care of Chi-Chi when they had her for a weekend back when we first got her.

So Wilbur's eye ulcer is not healing so they are putting him on 3 new meds. One of the meds is a serum made from dog's blood. Ideally it would be better to use chinchilla blood but they have seen this work with rabbits and corneal ulcers that won't heal. So they had a dog at the clinic who they took the blood from and then they made the serum. I hope this works.
